Cricket

 Cricket is the major summer sport at The High School for boys and girls. We have 14 teams represented in every league and cup competition within Leinster Schools.  Our aim is to make cricket accessible to all pupils, from beginners to keen enthusiasts.

We have an excellent teaching and coaching staff including our Physical Education teachers and a number of ex-Ireland international cricketers.  The goal is to deliver a progressive learning experience which enables the pupils to develop and improve their cricketing ability in a safe and fun environment.

The High School has excellent facilities with an all weather pitch, multiple nets, and a superb pavilion overlooking the outfield.  Our teams have achieved some notable successes over the past few years both in boys and girls cricket in league and cup competitions. The Form 2 boys reached the final of the league competition last year and the Form 1 girls won their league.  Both the Senior and Junior girls teams have won a number of Cricket Leinster schools titles in the past five years.
